FAQs | International Students

How many students are in the classes?

We have small classrooms. We aim to limit the number of students per class to 8. That makes for very personalized teaching. General English courses are also available.

Do I get a certificate?

When you have completed the work for your level, and passed the tests you will receive a Certificate.
We also offer Attendance certificates.

Why should I do an NZQA English course?

These courses are optional and are for those who want an NZQA certificate. NZQA English Certificates are recognized across the country, some include Unit standards. Your scores are held by NZQA.

Are your teachers qualified?

All our teachers are qualified and many have several years experience both in NZ and overseas. We understand what it is to be outside your comfort zone. Our teachers have regular Professional Development courses and care is taken that they teach to the highest level possible.

Do I need IELTS to come to your school?

No, because we teach you English and you can start with little or no English skills. In fact you could come here to get your English up to the right level before you start any other course at other Institutes.

Is my money safe?

Yes. You pay your fees into the Public Trust. We will provide you with a student Number and you can deposit them directly. The Public Trust is owned by the government and they then pay us as you are doing your course. If anything happens to this school your fees are safe and can be transferred to another school or refunded from there.
